Homeowner Association Frequently Asked Questions - Snow Pushing

When will crews be out to plow snow?

  • Snow pushing will typically occur when 2” of snow has accumulated, or at the end of a snow event. The snow plow vendors will work as quickly as possible to ensure the snow is pushed efficiently and in a timely manner. It is important to note that it may take several hours (or days) to complete the snow-pushing process, depending on the amount of snow received, wind conditions, and other storm factors. You may not see them immediately based on the crew's starting location. However, the crews will begin with a different location for each snow event to allow everyone to have their snow cleared first.
  • It is recommended that each resident keep a shovel on hand in the event of a snow emergency, the need to travel before snow clearing has been completed, or in the event the Board approves a change to the level of service. We appreciate your patience during the snow-pushing process.
Does the association push snow in city streets?

  • No, Lehi City is responsible for plowing all public streets within Holbrook Farms.
How is parking affected?

  • As a reminder, city street parking is prohibited during and after a snowstorm to accommodate snow plows. Additionally, there is no parking permitted overnight in the city of Lehi from November 15th to March 30th from 10pm-7am.

6 Reasons To Move Your Car Off The Street When It Snows

  • It's the law.
  • If enough cars are parked along a road, they could prevent access to snowplows.
  • Cars parked along a road that a snowplow can access limit the clearing area of the snow plow as the driver maneuvers around parked vehicles.
  • Maneuvering around vehicles takes extra time, limiting how quickly roads can be cleared.
  • Cars moved after a road has been cleared can leave large piles of snow on the road.
  • Snow left on the road can limit road access to vehicles, including public safety vehicles, garbage collection trucks, and more.
